Freddie started Relationship Help to provide counselling and education support in two areas he is particularly passionate about, couples relationships and parenting.
Married with three young children, Freddie knows from first hand experience the challenges and stresses of relationships, both as a husband and a father.
After working in the hotel industry for over 20 years, both in Sydney and Europe, Freddie decided to pursue a career in counselling and graduated from the renowned Jansen Newman Institute (Sydney).
Since then, he has gained experience in various areas including couple and parenting relationships, men's anger, perinatal depression and group psychotherapy.
Freddie describes his counselling style as:
'I don't adhere to one particular counselling philosophy or method, but rather try to match a style that will best suit my clients. I tell them from the beginning that I am not the expert in the room on their relationship; they are. I do however try to point out certain patterns of behaviour in the room that may be worth exploring together. These patterns, or dances as I like to call them, are always circular. i.e. they go round and round, to the same music, without any positive outcome. The couple gets stuck and can't seem to break the cycle. With increased awareness, I then invite the couple to experiment with different behaviours, in the safety and privacy of the therapy room, in order to then hopefully start to dance to different tunes'.
